Relationships are like two hearts connected by tiny strings. The more you go through with someone, the more you learn about them, the more love you find in the relationship - the more strings attach to the two hearts. On those strings, the very essence of love and relationship flows. The strings can grow and stretch over millions of miles, but that doesn’t make them any fewer or any weaker. It only makes them longer. The tension and strain of distance may even strengthen the strings. Just as similarly, the more strings there are, the more it hurts and the emptier you feel when they are torn away.
